Client: Penguin Random House
Scope: Full-scale campaigns across digital, print, and social. Including ad creatives, swag, pre-order materials, influencer mailers, managing production and vendor partnerships.
Role: Designer
Strategy: I built a strong understanding of the story and audience for each book title. Then there were brainstorming meetings with collaborating marketing teams to make sure everyone was on the same page to create a cohesive, cross-platform campaign. I led the design branding and campaigns for a whole title at a time. All the projects you see below are some of my titles that I have worked on. Every book campaign scope was unique depending on what the book narrative shared. I will lead you through the different sections below and what they would entail.
1. Paid Advertisements
Digital banners, billboards, newspaper placements, magazine placements, long-form and short-form videos
2. Print Materials
Pre-order bundles, sell sheets, swag items, stickers, postcards, mailer boxes
Some of my favorite projects were working on new print items. I enjoyed getting to see the printed items, to hold them and use them. It bridged the gap between seeing items in the world and getting curious on how they were actually made. I brainstormed ideas for swag items and led the discovery of partnership vendors. And of course, designed everything from end to end!
3. Social Media
Quote cards, release announcements, tour cards, book lifestyle images, photoshoots, photo editing, short-form videos, cover images
4. E-commerce
More information for shoppers on Amazon, Walmart, Target, Barnes and Nobles etc.
